In the 1960’s TWA flew round the world services to Asia, Europe, and Africa.

 

1970 Boeing 747 Brochure
TWA was the 2nd U.S. carrier to fly the 747 and the first to fly it domestically. This wonderful brochure spotlights the 747 and the JFK Eero Saarinen terminal. TWA flew the 747 through 1997. This is brochure is a favorite of the Airchive!

1970 Ambassador Class Brochure
With the introduction of the 747, TWA introduced a revised First Class service called Ambassador Class. Special thanks to Jim Albrecht for these images.
1973 L-1011 Tri Star Brochure
TWA, along with Eastern, was the launch customer for the L-1011. TWA operated the Tri-Stars on transcon and low density European routes. The TriStars served the airline faithfully until the last was retired in September 1996, replaced by 767s and 757s. This brochure features the Tri-Star in the wonderful Raymond Loewy 1963 colors. In mid 74, a new scheme would be introduced.
