	1958 DC-8 Introduction Brochure United was the launch customer for the Douglas DC-8. This brochure was published for their traveling “JetRama” exhibit. This was the beginning of the glamorous jet age, note the seating chart was evenly distributed between coach and first class. United withdrew the DC-8 in 1991 with a DC-8-71 flight from Hilo Hawaii to LA.

	1966 "Mainliner" In-Flight Magazine United commemorated its 40th Anniversary in 1966. The cover featured its legendary president, Pat Patterson.

	1964 - Boeing 727 Special Thanks to: Mark Trent
	1970 Boeing 747 Introduction Brochure United introduced the 747 on Transcon and Hawaii services in 1970. UA didn’t retire its last 747-100s until 1997.

	1971 DC-10 Introduction Brochure United, along with American, was the launch carrier for the DC-10. It flew over 30 DC-10s until 1996.

	1982 Boeing 767 Introduction Brochure United was the launch customer for the 767, inaugurating services in September 1982.
	1986 - Asia service insert
	1991 - UA launches service to Heathrow replacing Pan Am in the market.
	1993 - New look "Worldwide Service" brochure



	1995 Boeing 777 Introduction Brochure United inaugurated the first 777 service in June 1985 with a flight from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles. UA is the world’s largest operator of 777s.

	2004 - New Image spread from "Hemispheres" in-flight magazine United, to the surprise of nearly everyone, rolled out a new image in 2004 replacing the previous "battleship grey" 1993 scheme. The image was inspired by the rebranding associated with new low cost sister airline "Ted".
