DC-10 cutaway
After years and years of searching, I found the pride of the collection: A very rare 1973 vintage factory DC-10 cutaway. This is one of the 3 that was used in the Middle Eastern sales offices of McDonnell Douglas. There was a combi (mine), a full passenger configuration, and full cargo. This replica is fully illuminated showing roomy coach and first cabins in a 70's era maude colors. The model weighs 130 pounds and is 5 feet long. |

This is the newest flagship of the airchive collection. A contractor company for Concorde in the UK had this 8 foot long example custom built-there is only one. After being in storage for twenty years, the model is currently undergoing some minor restoration for eventual museum display. |

| Boeing 747 Prototype
Cutaway Cutaways are the holy grail of airliner models. This superb 1960s era 747 cutaway is the Airchive's 2004 Christmas present. This 747 is an original factory sales demo, approximately 3 feet in length, cutaway on both sides. The detail is superb right down to the spiral staircase and cargo level. Some off these images are extra high-res so the detail can be seen up close. The original 747, which still exists in this scheme and never entered airline service, can be seen at the Boeing Vintage Page. |

| DC-8 cutaway This DC-8 cutaway, owned by Phil Montejano, is about as good as they get: the illumination, passengers, seats, and crew are all highly detailed. Judging by the "water wagon" engines, this is circa the early 1960s. In fact, United repainted the model when the livery changed in 1974. Phil may part with this incredible example. | United Boeing 377 Stratocruiser This early 1950s Strat cutaway from Phil Montejano is stellar. Reportedly, the owner won't sell at any price which i can understand. |

| KLM Boeing 747-200 This "Flying Dutchman" is the latest addition to Phil Montejano's fabulous cutaway collection. |
