Pittsburgh International Airport
PIT is the 2nd busiest airport, but the fourth largest airport by land mass in the nation. It's so huge Atlanta and O'Hare could fit inside. Size notwithstanding, traffic has taken a hit over the years since US Airways shut down its hub here in 2004. US Airways Express has taken over even more US traffic as US pulls even more mainline service from here. With the US hub windown, European service evaportated as well. Southwest came into the market in 2005, quickly becoming the second largest airline there. It has consistantly been hailed as among the world's best airports by travel surveys. The extensive shopping mall airside was a model many others copied. Like Hartsfield, the current 1992 terminal has airside and landside facitilies.

Concourse C
Secondary PIT carriers such as Air Canada, AirTran, Jet Blue, and USA 3000 operate from the smallest concourse at the airport.

AirMall
Opened in 1992, PIT's Airmall contributes a great deal to revenue and perception of the airport as one of the world's best. It was built to take advantage of the US Airways hub. With the hub shutdown, business has declined somewhat.
