Tango A320 Interior
The widebody look of the A320
is apparent in this photo. Even with a discount carrier like the A320
Tango, this jet has enormous passenger appeal in a narrow body. |
 |
Air Canada Jazz CRJ-200
This CRJ-200 is operated by
Air Canada's wholly owned commuter subsidiary, Jazz. Jazz operates coast
to coast with Dash 8's, BAe 146's, and Canadair CRJ200s. Due to its comparably
high cost structure and the parent company's extreme financial problems,
Air Canada is attempting to spin it off. |

These Canadian built DeHaviland Dash 8's are operated by Air Canada's wholly
owned commuter subsidiary, Jazz. Jazz operates coast to coast with Dash
8s, BAe 146s, and Canadair CRJ200s. Due to its comparably high cost structure
and the parent company's extreme financial problems, Air Canada is attempting
to spin it off. |
 |
Conquest, JetsGo, and
West Jet tails
Westjet is the original low cost carrier in Canada, JetsGo was a shortlived
LCC, and Sky Service is a low cost charter carrier. |
 |
JetsGo MD-80
JetsGo was a short lived low cost carrier scene in Canada. Unlike its competitors,
JetsGo serves the U.S. with flights to Newark and Florida. With the demise
of Canada 3000 and the Air Canada merger with Canadien, JetsGo found a successful
niche for a short time before its bankruptcy in 2005. It was challenged
by WestJet, overexpansion, and by Air Canada's brilliantly reorganization
into a strong low cost competitor. In its final months, JetsGo purchased
ex American Fokker F-100s. |

Tango A320 by Air Canada
Tango is Air Canada's east
coast centric low cost carrier. Unlike AC's west coast service, Zip, Tango
operates using a higher cost AC structure. With all on-board service extra,
Tango borrows more from the Easy Jet model, even charging extra for assigned
seating. Tango's services are being cut 30-40% as Air Canada restructures. |

due to be replaced, along with Terminal 1, in Fall 2003. |
