One of Alexander Calder’s working models of the “Spirit of ‘76” Braniff 727-200. “The Spirit of ‘76” was unveiled in 1975 to commemorate the Bicentennial.
Calder/Uniforms
Calder’s “Spirit of ‘76” model is displayed with a collection of stewardess uniforms including an original 1960’s Pucci Air Strip design.
Convairs and More
In the meeting room of the museum is an impressive collection of over 100 classic model jetliners including a Convair 880 from Taiwan’s CAT, a American Convair 990, a Braniff 1965 circa 727-100, and an Ansett 727-100 in 1960’s colors.
