Lufthansa Boeing 707 City of Berlin
Sitting just outside the gates of Berlin’s Tegel Airport is “City of Berlin” a classic Lufthansa Boeing 707-400 with Conway Turbofans.
Air France Boeing 707 – Le Bourget
Air France operated Boeing 707's from 1960 until 1983. This 707 sits on the same tarmac where Charles Lindbergh made the first solo crossing of the Atlantic.

Dasault Mercure – Le Bourget
Pictured at Paris Le Bourget’s Museum of Air and Space is an ultra rare Dasult Mercure. The Mercure almost killed the Airbus program has government funding went to this program initially instead. The 10 or so examples ever built only flew within France for the domestic carrier Air Inter. When Air France absorbed Air Inter in 1996, the Mercure’s were retired.
Caravelle – Le Bourget
Viva la Caravelle in her native land! This beautiful ex-Air Provence example was based at Nice for much it’s flying career. The tear dropped windows are perhaps its most distinctive visual cue.

Tolouse Concorde
This image was taken at the Airbus plant in Tolouse. F-WTSB was the first production Concorde built and first flew on June 12, 1973. It is one of the 16 production Concordes ever built in addition to the 4 prototype/pre-production arcraft. This example wears British Airspace and Aerospatiale badges and Air France colors on the tail.

Duxford Concorde
G-AXDN was the 1st pre-production Concorde built, first flying on December 12, 1971. Along with it’s French counterpart F-WTSA and the 2 prototypes, this Concorde never entered airline service last flying on August 20, 1977. Based at Duxford UK, ‘AXDN is beautifully maintained in its own hanger where visitors can also walk through the narrow interior.
