- Chicago O'Hare International Postcards When it opened in 1962, O'Hare become Chicago's primary commercial airport with airlines virtually abandoing Midway. At the time, ORD instantly became the World's busiest commercial airport. It held this title for many years until being overtaken by Atlanta. |
