Pan Am Martin M-130

The Martin M-130 was the first
Flying Boat built to cross the Pacific. This example is the famed China
Clipper which crashed in 1945. The China Clipper, piloted by legendary
Master of Flying Boats Edwin Musick, inagurated the 8,210 mile Trans Pacific

Pan Am as well as the Boeing 314s and Sikorsky S-40s survived past 1946. |

United Airlines Hawaii
Mascots
Behold the delicious cuisine
on the 1960s and 70s circa menus! United even offered its own version
of the Mai Tai cocktail. I flew United to Hawaii a year back and to no
one's surprise, these days are long gone. |
