Cookies & Analytics

Airchive keeps optional analytics off until a visitor opts in. This page explains the current browser storage used by the main site and the live forum.

Last updated March 28, 2026

What the site uses today

The current public release uses a local browser preference to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. That preference is stored locally in your browser so the site can keep the same analytics setting on future visits from the same browser.

If you do not opt in, Airchive does not load Google Analytics 4. That means optional analytics cookies are not set by default on the public site.

The live forum may set essential session cookies when you log in, stay signed in, or use account features. Those cookies are separate from the main site's analytics preference storage.

What happens when you allow analytics

When you allow analytics, Airchive loads Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, navigation paths, on-site searches, and selected content interactions. Google may set measurement cookies such as Google Analytics identifiers in your browser.

Airchive configures analytics for measurement rather than advertising. The public site does not run targeted advertising or social-retargeting scripts as part of this release.

Browser controls and consent

You can accept or reject analytics through the site banner or at any time in Privacy Controls. If you previously enabled analytics and later turn it off, Airchive attempts to disable future measurement and remove Google Analytics cookies from the current browser.

If your browser exposes Global Privacy Control, Airchive treats that signal as an instruction to keep analytics off unless you later make a more specific on-site choice.
